
Leona Louise Lewis, born 3rd April 1985. It is an actress, singer, and activist of British origin. Her family was raised in London Borough of Islington and went to the Croydon's BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Lewis was recognized as a national talent by winning the third season of The X Factor in 2006 and was awarded a PS1 million recording contract with Syco Music. The winning single that was a cover of Kelly Clarkson's hit song "A Moment like This," recorded 50,000 downloads in 30 minutes . It topped the charts at the top spot for the duration of four weeks. Clive Davis' label J Records, signed Lewis to a 5-album deal in February 2007. Her success continued to grow with the launch of her first studio album, Spirit (2007), which received a platinum certification of 10x in the UK and was subsequently the fourth best-selling album of the decade and among the best-selling albums in UK chart history. Based on the Official Charts Company, Spirit is the most-sold debut album of a female artist at the turn of the century. Its single "Bleeding Love" and remained for seven weeks on its top spot on UK charts, also became the most-sold single in the year 2007. It was also the most-sold single during 2008, and Lewis won the Billboard Award for Best New Artist. The singer released Echo in 2009 and made "I I See You" which was the film's title song. In the year 2011, Lewis released the single "Collide" which was a collaboration together with Swedish DJ Avicii along with her debut extended play, Hurt: The EP. Glassheart (2012) was the third album she recorded. Her inspiration came from electronic and dubstep music. Lewis began recording music for her debut Christmas album on the Glassheart Tour, which took between mid 2013 and. The album Christmas, With Love was released in late 2013. Its lead single, One More Sleep, peaked at number 3 in the UK. The chart's entry resulted in Lewis one of the very first British single female singer to make it to the top fivespots with eight singles. The singer also broke the record of Olivia Newton-John's seven.
